Figbuild ‘26 Prompt
Design a speculative tool that tracks, measures, visualizes, or quantifies an aspect of human sensory experience.
Every night, your brain tells you a story. You almost never remember it.
We track our steps, calories, screen time, and moods. But when we fall asleep, the most emotionally vivid part of our lives goes unrecorded.
So we started asking: What do our dreams actually tell us?
EXPLORATION
What exactly is happening when we dream?
More than you think!
Dreams mirror your emotional state
Dreams act as creative inspiration
Dreams allow for self-discovery
Despite this:
You forget 90% of your dream in the first 10 minutes of waking up
Only 1/10 people say they always remember their dreams
PROBLEM
Thus we realized…
Individuals lack the tools to access and understand their own dreams, leaving the most honest source of self-knowledge completely unexplored each night.
